GREEN STRATEGY

Our Green Strategy

At The Filters Club, we are committed to providing a healthy, affordable, and environmentally friendly alternative for your water filtration needs.

How are we Green?

Our activated carbon is produced using a new technology that carbonizes dried coconut shells in an enclosed, self-sustaining system. This process captures and converts gas emissions into useful thermal energy. We leverage this thermal energy into producing a variety of industry-leading filters that are compatible with all major refrigerator brands.

Coconuts provide a renewable and sustainable source of charcoal for our carbon filters. Grown in over 80 countries, 61 million tons of coconuts are produced each year. Usually, the husks of these coconuts are then tossed or burned as waste.

At Swift Green Filters, we take those husks and use them to create the charcoal for our carbon filters. Coconut carbon is superior compared to other sources of activated carbon, containing 50% more micropores for capturing contaminants.

  • During production, conventional carbon filters emit harmful greenhouse gases into the air
  • Our innovative manufacturing process converts these greenhouse gases into thermal energy, rather than emitting them into the environment
  • Swift Green Filters is proud to be the first company to introduce an environmentally friendly filter line.
  • Environmental sustainability and quality are the foundation of all current and future products
  • Swift Green Filters is dedicated to crafting environmentally friendly solutions for providing clean, healthy drinking water

Why Coconut Carbon?

Due to its large, extremely porous surface area, activated carbon is ideal for providing an effective filtration material. Most traditional carbon filters use common substances such as lignite, coal, or wood to produce activated carbon.

Swift Green Filters uses coconut husks to produce the activated carbon in the filters because:

  • Every year, 61 million tons of coconuts are produced worldwide. The husks of these coconuts are usually discarded, providing a fast, renewable resource for producing our activated carbon.
  • Coconut carbon provides 50% more micropores for reducing contaminants compared to any other carbon.
  • Coconut carbon also has a unique ability to polish the taste of water.
